Does HCF cover private hospital emergency?
HCF hospital and extras insurance covers state provided emergency ambulance services to the nearest hospital able to treat you. Does HCF charge excess for day surgery?
What's an excess? The excess is the amount you agree to contribute towards the cost of your hospital treatment. We don't charge an excess for accident-related treatment, for any kids on your cover* or (on some levels of cover) for same day admissions. via

Cost: If you go public, your care is free. Private obstetricians also charge a pregnancy management fee, usually between $3,000 and $5,000. As an HCF member, you'll get the best value if you find an obstetrician who participates in our No-gap or Known-gap scheme. You can find one through Healthshare. via

What is HCF reasonability rule?
Offsale Product means all Products that HCF has closed and are no longer available for sale. One Adult Membership, also referred to as a singles cover, means a Policy of the Health Benefits Fund under which only one Adult (the Policyholder) is eligible to receive Benefits. via
Does HCF cover funeral costs?

Does HCF cover dental?
Members on eligible extras cover can claim 100% back on a range of preventive dental services at HCF Dental Centres through the More for Teeth program (subject to level of cover and available limits). This includes at least 1 annual check-up, scale and clean and fluoride treatment. via

Does HCF have rehab at home?

Does HCF cover knee surgery?
Eligible members who have held HCF hospital cover that includes primary hip and knee replacements for at least 12 months are covered for No-Gap Joints. You'll then need to be accepted into the program by a participating surgeon (excludes Overseas Visitors Health Cover members)*. via
Does HCF cover exercise physiology?
If your extras cover includes benefits for HCF approved health management programs, you can claim towards the costs of an exercise program or gym membership. Please ask your GP or medical specialist to complete section 2 and submit the completed form to HCF along with your receipts/invoices. via
